I built your home with a retracting dome so you could see the sky is ours whenever. The universe, a cathedral of words, your whisper warm and soft and loud and clever.

It’s no big thing to hear the ring from when the world clocked in to start its ticking. The matter’s dark, a static spark that fractured from the whole and started sticking.
